Jess Love - 1st Assistant Director
Jess was part of the creative team (as 1st AD) for writer/director Hugh Murray's short film "Stressless Sam" promoting health. The short film came runner-up in the 2020 QuitFlicks competition run by Quit Victoria, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, and Thorne Harbour Health.

Previous Creative Work
Jess developed and produced a fan made music video to accompany MO'JU's song "History". The creative work was inspired by the trope of indie music videos and explores the theme of time and connection to place. This project was developed as part of RMIT's requirements for the Master of Media course for the purposes of practicing filmmaking techniques.

MELB-POCALYPSE 2051 - A VISUAL ART INSTALLATION BY JESS LOVE

Jess developed and produced a short non-narrative video as part of RMIT's Master of Media's collaboration with Federation Square in Melbourne.  The creative work explores the juxaposition between man-made structures and natural landscapes. "Melb-pocalypse 2051" featured on the 4k screen in Federation Square, accompanied by the work of peers, under the theme of capturing Melbourne through the lens of the genres of Sci-Fi, Western, Action & Horror.

Jess developed and wrote a screenplay for a pilot web series exploring comedic storytelling through the tropes of the fantasy genre. This non-conventional comedy series tells the story of a bedsheet ghost who sucks at his day job - scaring people - and his struggle to live his isolated, immortal life.
